NACDA Graduate Certification in Sports Management

Earn Graduate Continuing Education Units
Under the direction of NACDA's Continuing Education Committee, the United States Sports Academy has established a graduate certification program for NACDA members. The program is designed to establish standards for intercollegiate athletics. The following courses are comprised of graduate material as designated by the 500-level course numbers. The price for each course is $150.00.
Sports Administration & Sports Management:
CEM 542 Sports Business and Personnel Management - register now
The study of the principles of personnel management including staffing, development of human resources, creation of a favorable work environment, management-labor relations, remuneration, security and system appraisal as they apply to sport. (4 CEUs)
CEM 543 Sports Administration - register now
The study of the basic concepts, theories and organization of administration. The managerial environment, ethics, social responsibilities and strategic management are explored. (4 CEUs)
CEM 583 Sports Facilities and Event Management - register now
The study of the principles involved in planning, marketing, producing and evaluating sports events and facilities. (4 CEUs)
CEM 544 Sports Marketing - register now
The study of the sport marketing principles. An evaluation of the elements of the marketing mix (product, place, price, promotion and public relations) and their unique applications to the sport industry. (4 CEUs)
CEM 586 Sports Law and Risk Management - register now
Introduces students to the fundamental tenets of the law, familiarizes them with the legal structure and acquaints them with basic legal terminology. The course considers various types of law, such as contracts, torts and antitrust, and examines the ways these laws affect the sports industry in this country. (4 CEUs)
CEM 594 Student Life Skills - register now
Designed for athletic administrators and coaches to assist students in making the transition from interscholastic sports to college athletics. (4 CEUs)
Degree Completion Program:
The Academy offers an upper-division Bachelor of Sports Science degree completion program in sports coaching, sports management and sports studies. If you have between 49 and 90 transferable college semester hours you can complete your 120-hour bachelor's degree at the Academy. All degree seeking students must take a minimum of 30 semester hours at the Academy. More Information
