Privacy and Security Policy

Your privacy is very important to the United States Sports Academy. Our policy is to collect only enough information to effect your transaction. That information will include your name, e-mail address, mailing address, credit card number, expiration date and other information required to register you in a course. It will not be shared or sold to any third parties unless required by law. Courses purchased are governed by the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). Secure transactions are enforced by Verisign security software with 128-bit SSL encryption.

Return and Refund Policy

Refund of tuition, general fees and technology fees for a student withdrawing from the Academy or a student who is dismissed or suspended is made in accordance with the schedule below. All application fees, enrollment fees, shipping and special fees are nonrefundable. Please refer to Catalog Section 5, Degree Fees and Costs, for a breakdown of all tuition and fees. It should be noted that this schedule is based on the requirements of the U.S. Department of Education in accordance with policies governing Title IV funds. The administrative fee charge is the lesser of 5% or $100 of the total paid.

Distance Learning
Prior to the shipment of course materials	100%

Mentorship or Thesis  (relates to only students in nine credit hours of mentorship or thesis)

Through the first 25 days after registration	95% less administrative fee
Through the first 60 days after registration	50% less administrative fee

The United States Sports Academy makes every effort to ensure that items shipped and received are the correct items required for your course. In the event that an error by the Academy is made, a refund or exchange will be granted under the following circumstances:

1. The items must be returned to the Academy within seven days of receipt.
2. The items returned must be unused and undamaged by the customer.
3. The return shipment will be at the expense of the customer.

All sales are considered final.

Materials Damaged in Shipment
If course materials are damaged in shipment, the customer should file a claim in accordance with the following:

• If damaged materials are received via the United States Postal Service, the customer should return the package to the local post office and initiate Claim Form number 1000.
• If damaged materials are received via FedEx, the customer should contact the Coordinator of the Sports Bookstore at the Academy by e-mail (bookstore@ussa.edu) or at (251)626-3303 ext.105 between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. (Central time) using the contact information printed on the shipping label. The Sports Bookstore Management will initiate a claim with the carrier when the claim is settled, will credit the customer for the settlement amount.

Shipping Policy

As part of the checkout process, we will provide the shipping rates for your course materials. If you decide to return your course materials in accordance with the Returns and Refund Policy (above), shipping charges will not refunded.
