The Academy will be teaching its International Certification in Sports Management (ICSM) and Sports Coaching (ICSC) Programs in cooperation with The National Sport Institute (NSI) in Malaysia, beginning in early February 2009 and completing these initial offerings in mid-November. The Academy is currently planning on teaching three complete sessions of each certification program representing a total of 36 one-week seminars in Kuala Lumpur over the course of the coming year.
“The Academy is looking forward to working closely with our counterparts at the ISN,” said Academy President Dr. Thomas P. Rosandich. “These programs serve not only to provide valuable education and training opportunities to Malaysian coaches and sport administrators, but are also a wonderful opportunity for the Academy’s faculty, both resident and national faculty, to travel abroad and teach in a foreign culture. It is an opportunity to experience the warm hospitality and delightful culture of the Malaysian nation. It is a win/win for all concerned.”
