Academy Hosting Shanghai Sports Students at Seminar

The Shanghai Sports Council will send 20 students to a seminar on sports management and coaching at the United States Sports Academy from 1 December to 5 December.

Academy President Dr. Thomas P. Rosandich signed an agreement Friday 14 November to provide the educational program to the visiting professionals from China’s largest city.

The contingent will study subjects such as sports administration, sports facilities, structure and function of sports programs, coaching methodology, scientific principles of coaching, exercise testing and prescription, sports psychology, functional parameters for athletes, athletic healthcare management and sports medicine.

Representatives from the Shanghai Sports Council toured the Academy 13–14 November, discussing the seminar agreement and also attending a University of South Alabama women’s basketball game.
