The Academy, known worldwide as America's Sports University, is the largest graduate sport education program in the world. The role of the Academy is to prepare men and women for careers in the profession of sports.
The Academy offers a 33 semester-hour degree program and a 42 to 48 semester-hour dual major.
Academy courses are offered online so that students can conveniently take courses at anytime and from anywhere. Students can also enroll and start their studies anytime.

Students may take a dual-major by combining any two majors, which require between 42 and 48 semester hours, depending upon the combination.
A student interested in pursuing a degree in sports coaching should have a background in sport as a player or coach. Undergraduate majors with backgrounds in health, physical education, recreation or sport related fields are most suitable.
The graduate curriculum in sports coaching prepares students for careers of leadership in the field of coaching. Program objectives are established to prepare each student for the multiplicity of demands involved in the control and operation of individual and team sports.
A student interested in pursuing a degree in sports fitness may be accepted from a variety of backgrounds. Generally, undergraduate majors with strong backgrounds in exercise physiology, physical education, biology, health sciences or business management are most suitable.
The graduate curriculum in sports fitness prepares students for careers in either managing a corporate, private, public or hospital-based fitness center or in a direct service fitness science field. The program also examines issues in health such as nutrition and physical conditions such as obesity.
A student interested in pursuing a degree in sports management may be accepted from a variety of backgrounds. Undergraduate majors with backgrounds in business administration, finance, marketing, human relations, physical education, communications or sports management are most suitable.
The graduate curriculum in sports management prepares students for careers of leadership in the field of sport and recreational management. During the course of study, sports management students gain expertise for multi-faceted careers in the fields of sport facilities management, sport information, sport front office administration and sport community relations.
The Masters Sport Management Program (MSS) has received program approval/accreditation through the North American Society for Sport Management (NASSM) and the National Association for Sport and Physical Education (NASPE). The Academy’s program is one of a small group of programs nationally that have received program approval. The curriculum is designed to academically prepare students for positions in the ever expanding and changing sports industry. Graduate students enrolled in the program pursue a number of sport career paths including college athletic administration, professional sport marketing and promotions, sport facility management, sport event management, recreational sports management and supervision, and amateur sport organization administration, etc.
A student interested in pursuing a degree in sports medicine may be accepted from a variety of backgrounds. Generally, undergraduate majors in biology, physical education, nursing, physical therapy or athletic training are most suitable. Those with strong backgrounds in the natural sciences are encouraged to apply. Students may be required to take prerequisite courses to quality for this major.
The graduate curriculum in sports medicine is designed to prepare our students for opportunities including athletic training at clinical and professional levels. Program objectives prepare the student for the prevention, management, evaluation and rehabilitation of athletic injuries, along with the multiplicity of demands involved with the successful operation of sports medicine programs at various levels.
A student interested in pursuing a degree in sports studies may enter the program from a variety of backgrounds. The most important factor is an interest in the field of sport.
The courses are selected in accordance with each student's interest. For example, a student may select courses from the Department of Sports Management, Sports Coaching, Fitness Management, or Sports Medicine. Selections can be made from any of the academy's academic departments to develop a personalized course of study based upon the needs of each student.
